Prompt: Using Sculpey and whatever tools were available to us at home, we were to create a functional or decorative item that represents a researched architectural style.

I initially looked at the influential architecture of the Greek and Roman times but was quickly reminded of how much I missed New York, the skyscrapers, the gargoyles, and so I decided to recreate that feeling in this sculpture. Using credit cards and a glass cup, I cut and molded pieces to adorn the slabs I’d divided out with a butterknife. I then pressed them together and fired them in my oven.
