Join Parsons faculty member Emily Waters to draw from modeling videos and classical sculpture. Emily will facilitate this virtual session and give individual instruction. Think of this weekly session as a comfortable place to meet on Tuesday nights where we’ll share drawings we have done during the
week and try different types of drawing: contour, blind contour, calligraphic, short poses and long poses. We’ll be using sketchbooks, too, as a way to study master draughtspeople from Holbein to Diego Rivera to Louise Bourgeois.
Be prepared with drawing materials (charcoal, pencils, ink, paints, erasers, 18” x 24” drawing pad, 18” x 24” newsprint pad). Also, consider bringing in toned paper to use with light and dark inks/paints.
