In this project, I analyzed the Statuette of Isis with the infant Horus and created a visual design poster with my reimagined version of the statuette. I delve into the importance behind the iconography of Isis and Horus, along with the importance of the material used to create the statue. I wanted to carefully highlight the beautiful shade of blue commonly found in the technique and material in my design to express the significance of faience to Egyptian cultures. In my writing, I mainly focused on the symbols that goddess Isis represented and how they tied into the creation of the famous iconography, which even shows a connection to the Virgin Mary and Jesus.
