FORMS OF GROWTH

Class of: 2029

Major: Fashion Design BFA

Medium: Color pencil drawing

Faculty: Anne Finkelstein

Prompt: This assignment asks us to create a Virtual Room based on a two-point perspective room drawing. The project begins with a real room, but we can transform it into an imaginative space using drawing, color, Illustrator, Photoshop, or collage. For my project, I designed a conceptual room inspired by vegetables, growth, repetition, and colorful illusion.

My project, Forms of Growth, is a conceptual Virtual Room inspired by vegetables, growth, repetition, and illusion. I used colored pencil to create a room where furniture and vegetable forms mix together. The bed, sofa, doorway, table, window, and decorative objects feel like they are growing out of the space. Bright colors create a dreamlike and surreal feeling, while the repeated dot patterns add rhythm and movement. Through this project, I wanted to make a room that feels alive, playful, and imaginative, rather than a normal realistic interior.
