First Year Student Workshop: Applying Social Science Research Methods to Design Projects!

Our next exciting student workshop is coming up on Wednesday November 10, from 7pm – 8:30pm: Applying Social Science Research Methods to Design Projects, led by Parsons faculty Andrea Marpillero-Colomina!

This workshop addresses how qualitative and description quantitative methods can be applied to design projects. Conducting (social) scientific research supports the process of designing spaces, objects, garments, and images, and strengthens our capacity to understand how our designs can better serve the needs and desires of people. The first half of the workshop will introduce the methods; the second half gives students the opportunity to apply them to current projects and share back with the group.
