Next up in our student workshops is Embodied Design! It’s happening Wednesday, November 17, 7:00PM – 8:30PM, and is led by Parsons faculty Kimberly Tate!
What is embodiment? What is embodied? How can attunement to sensing and perceiving with our whole relational being strengthen specificity of voice and cultivate empathy across difference? How can embodied exploration expand possibilities for innovation, build resiliency and creative, responsive engagement in the world? This experience-led workshop is offered for students across creative disciplines to explore thinking, sensing and designing with the whole body.
Concepts and modes of inquiry will draw from somatics, movement, performance and contemplative practices to attune students to the body as an instrument of research, insight and agency in design.
