Prompt: Design and sew a one piece garment.
I had gone thrifting and found this blanket with a little girl’s name printed with a print of shirtless men and butterflies on the back. I thought it was hilarious that this print would be on a blanket for a little girl. The print of the men informed the design of the jacket by leaning into the camping scene seen on the print by creating a utilitarian style jacket but juxtaposing it with a luxurious fabric for the trim and lining. This contrast created a garment that feels like it should be taken seriously even though it is quite comical.
