Garment: Birth and Rebirth
Prompt: The prompt of this project was to create a practice or design that we can use or continuously adapt for the following 10 years.
This is a multi-purpose garment that can be altered to t different situations/changes to the shape of the body. I worked with drawstring to give the wearer flexibility around the waist and the choice of turning the garment into a tote bag. The garment is constructed with organic linen and dyed with eco-dye. No mordants are utilized while dying, so the garment will eventually fade in colour (with around 13 washes) and be able to be re-dyed for the next season.
