Prompt: The assignment was to create a “visual essay” on any chosen location (a landmark, a coffee shop, etc.) The main restriction was that it must be made up of 5 or more panels (any size, any orientation).
The location I picked for this assignment was a fabric shop, it was one that I had been visiting with my grandmother ever since I was a child. The owner had become a close friend and the space was one where I felt inspired and safe. The overwhelming yet exhilarating feeling of being surrounded by all these vividly colored textures was one that I wanted to recreate within the 5 panels of my work.
