Moving in or out?
Prompt: Reclaiming a Space: Create a piece that deals with the body. in a space that you once occupied and will now reclaim through sculpture
This project is dedicated to my childhood home. How many memories are connected to a place. It is about how a house can become a home and what and who makes it home. A home that feels safe, that provides shelter, warmth and love. It is about how hard and displacing it can be to move out of that place and find a new home.The light bulb was placed directly on top of the piece to create shadow and depth to the piece. The light bulb swings around the piece, forcing the shadows to move around and create dimension and different shapes. Again it is about perception and how a persons views and perceives a situation. The movement of the light also portrays the instability and displacement a move can cause.
