Prompt: For this project, we were assigned to reconstruct a brand we like. I chose Maison Martin Margiela for inspiration. The whole idea is about the anti-fashion style in China. I took photos of places and outfits that weren't considered to be fashionable, but they were in their own styles.

This is a series of photography exhibits anti-fashion in China and a rebellion to the stereotypes of fashion. In this collection, I explored the seemingly unfashionable places of Quanzhou and took pictures of them with my understanding of fashion. I also borrowed old school clothes from my grandmother to exhibit her fashion style. The whole project is meant to challenge your understanding of fashion and how it will be different to another group of people.

I chose two ways to exhibit my work, a scroll and a video. Although they are both the same work, but it will be very refreshing for the different experience.
