This Piece depicts the Past Present and hopeful longing of Dubai. At the bottom you can see huts and traditional building methods of Dubai. In the growing horizon you can see the skyscrapers that now hold the image of this pristine city. In their midst is the Burj Dubai which is said to be taller than the Burj Khalifa and was to be completed this year for the EXPO 2020. Using the marks of a palm frond and the EXPO symbol to create the digital aspect of this piece I merged the key symbols of Dubai’s past and hopeful future.

This Pandemic has disrupted the hopes, dreams, and plans of many around the world, Dubai glamorous growth has also taken a hit. A hopeful longing to see this building at the newly announced EXPO 2021 rests within all of us.
