Prompt: Self Portrait depicting 3 moments that have changed the direction of thought in your life

This piece I touch on 3 key turning points in my life that make and shape who I am as a person today.

I am from a family of growing alcoholic abusers and walking through their journey of life with them is mentally, emotionally and physically taxing. A lot of loss is associated with drugs like these and the pain has forever shaped me into who I am today. The background of this piece is inspired from the microscopic view of the alcohol liver disease cell. Another aspect of this piece is the change from an Indian school to an international school that aided me to meet and mingle with people from different cultural backgrounds. Aiding me with the cultural awareness I have today and aiding my decision of studying in such an ethnically diverse and international platform such as Parsons. Another element is the airplanes that are mid crash at the very top. At a very young age, I lost family members to a sever flight crash. Unaware of death and its capabilities at such a fragile age was difficult to handle, repentance still associated from that event still lingers with me.
