Prompt: Create products that are repurposable, deconstructable, or reusable using sustainable design strategies.

Whenever a piece of furniture has a small defect to it, it is simply just thrown out creating waste. But with some creativity and time it can easily be upcycled to a new product.

My family had a broken bamboo steamer that they were going to throw out, but I saw it still had great potential to it. So I decided to reclaim it to give it a second life. I love the look of bamboo so my goal was to preserve the natural look.

I wanted to avoid materials that damage human or environmental health, so I decided on using only biodegradable materials. I used bamboo, wood, and jute string to make my entire plant stand, making it entirely biodegradable. I also avoided any electric tools or glue when creating this piece.
