Einstein and physicist Nathan Rosen mentioned:” The wormhole theory postulates that a theoretical passage through space-time could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe.” This theory inspired me, so I created a character with a mask to represent myself after passing through the wormhole in my imaginary to show what I was thinking based on different situations. The character had the same life experience as me; however, the way that she saw things was more directly and strange than ordinary people.

The paper toy I used to play in my childhood inspired me a lot, so I chose paper as material. I played with the form and structure of this 1-minute book. It can be looked at separately with single pages, and it can also be looked at by spreading it into the whole sheet, like a poster. After flattering it, both front and back show the portrait of myself. The only difference is that the high-saturated, colorful one is the imaginary me after passing the wormhole, and the black and white one on the backside is the real photo of mine in reality. The color also shows high contrast between the two sides of myself.
